Belgrade needs no introduction; the history of this capital is as chequered as they come but that is what gives this place its raw vibe. Without question one of the top party destinations in Europe Belgrade is a city of extremes, summer or winter in this capital it makes no difference to how people party and have fun.

Without a doubt, Belgrade is bouncing back from troubled times with enthusiasm and optimism. Every Belgradian is happy to see new faces and is always glad to welcome visitors to this Balkan gem! We have put together an in-depth guide for you which will help you discover all you need to know about where to find the best Belgrade Hotels, which are the leading Belgrade Attractions, and tips from expert locals on which are the best Bars and clubs in the Serbian capital.

Belgrade, 'the white city', is the capital of Serbia and one of the largest cities in all of Europe. The Serbian capital famously lies on the banks of the river Danube, but it also has the river Sava for shaping its history and the geographical layout of the city.

War and conflict savaged the city in previous years but today Belgrade is a vibrant, peaceful place where the population are more interested in partying and having a good time.

With a population of almost 2 million, Belgrade is ranked as the 14th biggest city in all of Europe, with Bucharest the only city in the whole region with a comparable population. Larger than Barcelona, Munich, Prague and Stockholm, Belgrade can also claim to be one of the oldest cities on the continent, with historical records dating the city's founding to 300 years before Christ.

Sadly, more than 100 wars have been fought over Belgrade during its rich history and the city has been significantly damaged on more than 40 occasions.

Today, though, many Serbs see their future as an integral part of Europe and with a young, upwardly-mobile well-educated population the coming years for Belgrade seem certain to be as a regional powerhouse, transport hub and tourism hot spot.

We believe that Belgrade is set to become the hottest new tourist destination in Europe in the coming years - let us at Out There be your Belgrade guide and source of Belgrade Tourist Information as you set off on your Serbian voyage of discovery. Please take the time to explore this site where you will discover all the information you need about the Serbian language andmoney, the weather you can expect in Belgrade, as well as a Belgrade map, the low down on the top attractions and the very latest on where are the very latest Belgrade nightlife hotspots.

Probably the best place to begin reading our Belgrade Guide is with our Out There overview of Belgrade. This will give you a few insights into the history of Belgrade and a vision of where this exciting city is heading in the future.

Our Belgrade Guide also includes vital information about the weather in Belgrade you can expect during your time here, the basic all-you-need-to-know about Serbian money, and a brief look at the Serbian language and its origins. Of course, we have also thrown in some useful Serbian phrases that you will be able to learn at home before you come to Belgrade - a sure fire guarantee for impressing locals and quickly making friends in Serbia!

We have also added a map of Belgrade, which will enable all future visitors to get a good sense and feel for the layout of the city and where your hotel and leading Belgrade attractions are located before you fly out to the city.

Once you've read all these pages all that is left is for you to do is to start planning which exciting tours & activities and insightful cultural activities you wish to experience, and to book your airport transfers to and from Belgrade Airport to your hotel.

Belgrade has a vibe quite unlike most cities in Europe. There is a sense that anything goes in the Serbian capital and this is reflected in the many exciting tours and activities that are available to Belgrade Out There guests.

For a real Balkan buzz we suggest you try Belgrade Target Shooting - a heart pounding expereince which allows you to get your hands on AK-47s, Glocks and Serbian hand pistols.

The adrenaline high continues with Tandem skydiving and bungee jumping. These activities are exciting enough in their own rights but bungee jumping over the amazing Ada Ciganlija beach resort or taking off in a plane from a Serbian airport to jump from 3,000 metres each add an extra dimension to these activities that we believe you will never forget.

And, finally, if you are in the mood to really spread your wings and discover two of Serbia's top highlights, then join our daytrips to Zasavica and Novi Sad. Novi Sad is, of course, home to the biggest music festival in eastern Europe - as well as countless cultural highlights - while Zasavica is an incredible nature reserve recognised as being one of the most significant protected wetlands and wildlife refuges in the whole of this region of Europe.

If these types of mind-blowing activities appeal to you, but you prefer your adrenaline kicks down on Mother Earth then the tours and activities for you are most likely Outdoor KartingBelgrade Paintball and Aqua Ski. You can shoot the living daylights out of your friends or colleagues in the dramatic Ada forest - the leading paintball centre in Serbia, or hit the track at the premiere karting track in the country. Alternatively, if you have ever wanted to try water skiing then the waters of Ada Ciganlija await you - the perfect way to combine sun and fun whilst you are in Belgrade.

Heading out of Belgrade, no visit to Serbia would be complete without spending half a day, at the very least, in party and try out a whole host of exciting activities including Bungee Jumping and Aqua Skiing.

The activities we offer are numerous, with new unique products being added each and every month. Our most popular activities and experiences include Belgrade Target ShootingOutdoor Karting and the unforgettable Belgrade Tandem Skydive. After all, who could resist the chance to get their hands on an AK-47? To race their colleagues around the best outdoor karting track in Serbia? Or to jump out of a plane at 3,000 feet, high above Belgrade?

For large groups we recommend Belgrade Paintball and our ever popular VIP boat tour- an experience that will allow your employees to dine in style and see the amazing city that is Belgrade from whole different watery perspective.

We tailor make the experience you are looking for, so please do not hesitate in contacting us with your ideas -no matter how outlandish or difficult to organise you might think they are - and we will endeavour to organise the most memorable and unique corporate event your company has ever experienced.

A sport tour to the Balkans is always going to be an unforgettable experience, especially if you can catch a home game for Red Star Belgrade, the stadium tours are a great experience too. Football is in the blood for Serbians and with the recent success of the national team and big name stars in the premiership Serbian teams are out to make a statement and love to play against touring teams to show off their development.

Belgrade - a destination with a difference to give your company the incentive your employees deserve!

Many businesses are increasingly searching for destinations that both inspire and motivate their team of employees. A weekend away at a faceless conference hotel in the UK or Sweden is all very well, but it hardly inspires your employees to great things in the future or helps build a new sense of togetherness between those who work in your organisation from day to day.

For meetings, conferences, incentives and team building to really be a great success you need a truly inspiring foreign destination; a unique, exciting destination that offers the kinds of team building activities that can only be found in that location or in a handful of destinations around the world. Belgrade is that kind of destination.

Your organisation can expect top class hotels, authentic Serbian restaurants, and dozens of exciting possibilities for how your people can be inspired and motivated whilst in Belgrade.

Belgrade Out There has access to the best conference locations in all of Serbia. Not only does the Out There team have years of experience organising corporate events all over Europe but we also have a team of people on the ground in Belgrade to ensure that things run smoothly and professionally during your time in Serbia.

If you want to make the most of your time in the Serb Capital then you should take with you a Tourist Map Belgrade - or 'Beograd Mapa Grada' as it is known in the local language. Belgrade is a big city, with an urban area of 360 square kilometres, so if you are planning to drive in the city then a 'Map Belgrade Serbia' is vital.

If you are only planning to walk around the city by foot then the good news is that most of the city's top sights and attractions are easily reached without having to use taxis or public transport. However, without a Belgrade map download or the print version of a Belgrade Map pdf, the chances are you will end up missing out on some of the amazing attractions on offer in the city.

For your convenience we have created a Belgrade Map (below), using Google. Streets are listed in English and in Cyrillic. You need to 'left click' to zoom in, and 'right click' to zoom out .

If you cannot find what you are looking for on this map or prefer a different style of city map, then we suggest you select 'Belgrade Map Google' in a Google Search. This will give you a whole host of map options for Belgrade...just remember to navigate back to Belgrade Out There's Home Page afterwards!

Belgrade Out There organises inbound and outbound Airport Transfers as well as transfers to the main bus and train stations.
