“ The Travel Out The crew put up a great experience for us. It's never easy to pull off a program for 50 students. Keep in mind that these were history students from the Utrecht University, and so the Travel Out There crew met a challenge in using historical facts. But they pulled it off! The only thing that could improve is the smoothness of the tour. The USSR tour was quite new. Therefore, there hasn't been a lot of rehearsing. No problem for the future I know for sure. ”May, 2013

“ The night-life-guide was the best "investment" of the whole trip! Sintija and her friend showed us around and brought us to the best spots in Riga. She did way more than she supposed to, and made us recommendations for dinner reservations. AK-47/Glock Shooting was great as well and it was nice that it was Sintija again who took care of us. The highlight of the trip, whice took place on the weekend of the Riga fashion week was, that she organized us a table at the "Coyote fly" which was a blast - best evening ever! Thanks Sintija and the rest of "travel out there"! ”May, 2013

“ We were met at the airport by a friendly helpful English speaking guide and everything had been organised and ran smoothly. Nikos went out of his way to drop people off in different locations after the experience. The only problems were that we were told that the 4x4 driving would be located in the Fruška Gora national park and each of us would be able to take it in turns to drive over the terrain. However, on arrival it turned out to be located in the less scenic Deliblato sands, and we were only allowed to drive one vehicle, so only 3 people out of 18 had the opportunity. A shorter distance with more opportunities for individuals would have been better: we weren't expecting simply just to be driven around as passengers. I'm afraid the reaction of most people was that the staff seemed to have more fun than we did. ”April, 2013

“ Fantastic experience, all the way from the initial contact to seeing the activities through. The entire team at Travel Out There deserves big props for professionality, unparalelled customer service and all-around friendliness. Special thanks to my mate Graham, Lienne and Cynthia. “ We went to the Amsterdam shooting, staff was really nice, it was only me and my boyfriend and the instructor could therefore completely concentrate on us. The shooting went over relatively quickly unfortunately, but it was a good experience and we were able to take the target sheets home with us afterwards. ”March, 2013

“ Hi Graham, Thanks a million for all your help in organising the curling in Riga. We all had a great time and didn't have to worry about organising anything additional once we went with Travel Out There. We were collected on time, brought to the curling rink - the coach was ideal teaching us but still giving us the opportunity to have a game. All in all we had a great time. ”March, 2013

“ We enjoyed the activity and were happy with the services provided as well as with the friendliness of the people we dealt with. Also, the shooting activity was certainly one of the highlights of our weekend, even more fun than expected. The package (10 glock, 5 AK-103 and 3 SPAS) was ideal for us. It was also sufficient in duration. ”March, 2013

“ We had such a good time in Riga recently and our activities with Travel Out There were part of our best memories. He went for the Husky Sledge Ride and the AK 47 shooting activity. The husky sledge ride was so much fun that afterwards my boyfriend proposed - it was magical! The shooting was also great fun we had ten rounds on the Glock hand gun and five rounds on the Ak 47. Our guide was really helpful, giving us a tour of the city as we passed through and allowing us loads of time to ask questions and take photos. She also took photos of us. This company and these activities come highly recommended. ”March, 2013

“ We were really happy with our bachelortrip to and working with travel out there. For such a short stay, it'd be impossible to find these good addresses of bars and restaurants (especially the 3 cooks!) ourselves. Also the transportservice from the airport and back is superb; it's so nice to not having to worry about that... ”February, 2013

“ All 20 of us enjoyed our time with travel out there! We did the olympic bobsleigh run which was immense!! The organisation was superb, from booking it up to arranging our collection for the event. Graham was our organiser who always answered any queries promptly when we were booking and Aus was our guide who exceeded expectations by also advising us of a hockey event (something we would never have thought off!), well done, will book with you again! “ Good preparation, friendly people and a great adventure!! Graham and his team are really helpful and offer great service. They are very thrustworthy and offer good information up front. No surprises and a terrific experience. Make sure to bring proper clothing with you for this experience as it can be rather cold without proper thermo underwear. ”January, 2013
Whenever anybody mentions Prague it conjurs up images of narrow cobbled streets, stunning medieval architecture, the meandering river Vltava and cheap pints of strong Beer.
Prague is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful cities not only in Europe, but in the entire world. Its modern day reputation is built on over eleven centuries of cultural development stretching back to the city's founding in 885.
The city's heyday was during the fourteenth century when many of its most famous buildings and structures such as the Charles Bridge, Saint Vitus Cathedral and Charles University were constructed. Today, a considerable area of Old Town Praha is protected by UNESCO.
Having shaken off the shackles of Soviet control, which lasted from the post-war years up until the beginning of the 1990's, Czechoslovakia was split up into the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Prague has been the dynamic capital of the Czech Republic since 1993 and must now be considered as truly being a global city. Its population is well over one million and, if you include its outlying urban areas, its total population is actually close to 2.5 million.
For more information about the major places of interest in Praha take a few minutes to read our Prague Attractions page. The Prague Guide pages also include all the information you need to know about the Czech Language and Money, the Weather you can expect here during your stay, as well as lots of tips on which Bars and Clubs are hot, and which are most definitely not.
We have put together a Prague Guide to help our guests (and anybody who is simply interested in learning more about Prague online) to get the very most out of their time in the wonderful Czech Republic.
There is no denying that Prague is one of the world's most beautiful cities. Unlike some European capitals, such as Belgrade and Vilnius, the city has certainly been discovered by tourists from all over Europe in recent years, but this does not mean that Prague has that tired 'going through the motions' tourism feel that a number of established western European capitals unfortunately have. Remember, the Czech Republic only regained its independence in the 1990s, so the process of rediscovery and redevelopment still optimistically continues in ernest today.
In our Prague Guide we provide you with much of the essential basics you need to start preparing for your Czech adventure. What is the Language in Prague? What kind of Money do they use in the Czech Republic? What kind of Weather can I expect if I am planning to travel to Prague in January or August? Where is Prague ?All these questions, and many more, are answered in the relevent sections of our Praha Guide.
Our Overview page will give you a good sense of what you should expect when you visit Prague, and also provides you with some brief historical perspective on how the city developed from its more humble beginnings until the modern day.
If Prague's famous attractions (of which there are certainly many) are your main reason for visiting then find out more about Praha Castle, the Charles Bridge, Wenceslas Square and the other top Prague Sightseeing highlights in our Attractions section. Finding these remarkable places, as well as your hotel and the best Prague Map.
Finally, for every visitor to Prague who is interested in its historical buildings and rich history, there is another who travels to the Czech capital to enjoy some of the best nights out on the continent. The current popularity of Prague has lead to a huge difference in quality between the city's best and worst bars. In our Bars & Clubs section we provide you with the latest info on where is hot and where you should certainly avoid.
