In many ways the beating heart of Riga Old Town, Dome Square (doma laukums) is an attractive cobbled-stone city square, dominated by the magnificent Dome cathedral. From early spring to late autumn the square buzzes with life as many beer gardens and outdoor cafes are packed with tourists and locals.
The most interesting buildings are the Latvian Radio Building and the Riga Stock Exchange, with restoration work being completed on the brown and green Stock Exchange building in late 2010.
