We are delighted to announce the official establishment of Riga United Football Club. Travel Out There created the side back in 2005, originally called Riga Out There FC, the team's name was changed in 2007.  We offer you the opportunity to play football in Riga against Riga United FC.  We can ensure you will have a great time both on and off the pitch if you were to book a football tour in Riga with Travel Out There.

In May 2007 our multi-national football team joined the Latvian Amateur Football League (LAFL). The team could give Arsenal FC a good run for its money in terms of nationalities on its books with players from Latvia, Germany, England, Cameroon, Nigeria, Guatemala, Spain, Italy, Holland, Norway and Turkey – to name just a few – turning out for the side. 

Building on the success of Riga Out-There’s football team the decision was made earlier in 2007 to establish Riga United FC, a name, which perfectly sums up the whole essence and ethos of the new club.

A cosmopolitan football team made up from signings from around the world, Riga United unites tourists and locals, ex-pats and Latvians, youth and 'experience' (old gits) all wanting to play the beautiful game!

Riga United FC made its debut in the Latvian Amateur Football League in May 2007. In doing so Riga United made Latvian football history by becoming the first truly multi-national team to ever compete in the Latvian Amateur League.

The RUFC club crest has been chosen to reflect the image of Latvia’s beautiful capital, together with the idea of a ‘united Riga’. The club’s Latvian motto, ‘Vienoti Spelei’ translates as ‘United for the game’ is being worn with pride on the club’s new strip, which was unveiled on April 20th, 2007.

During winter month indoor 6-aside football tournaments can be arranged as well as XI-a-side matches at the Riga Olympic Centre or Skonto Hall.

During the summer months we can organise a beach football tournament in Jurmala, Latvia's premier coastal resort.

There are not many places in the world where we can offer you to play in the national stadium.  Travel Out There has the contacts and knowledge to give you this opportunity.  You must experience it to believe it!!
