The Make Your Own Film event is a prime example of multi-sensory, experience learning.
This team building activity can be tailored to the groups budget and time allocation but the Travel Out There film tutors would advise on this activity lasting around 4 hours.

Everyone loves to watch themselves or their team members on film and showcasing this on the last day during or after dinner makes for fantastic evening entertainment. Following a brief introduction to film making by our guest director in the film studio, your group will be split in to small production crews to produce and shoot your very own short film.
As they say in the film business ‘time is money’ therefore each will be working under the guidance of a film-maker to storyboard, prepare the set, scouring the costume department for costumes and props. You will then have some valuable rehearsal time before arming yourselves with the camera, lighting and sound equipment….the sound of the clapper board signifies action is underway!
Once you have shot your film – the rushes will be sent to the editing room to be seamlessly woven together before being premiered the following day. The grand premier of the films can be tailored to your needs – whether it be before your evening meal or on the bus back to the airport.
All in all an awesome day for everyone both in terms of informing people about film making as well as encouraging people to work in teams to achieve their number one goal – a quality film to help remember their experience
This fun, interactive and engaging experience is great for groups from 20 to 50 people and allows everyone to take home a unique souvenier from their visit to any City....their very own film!
In this creative team building event, you can choose the content / subject of the film. You may want it to be business related (an advert, corporate promotional video, new product launch,) or alternaively want to have total creative control with a set theme relating to what you have learned about yourselves and each other during your incentive.
You will apply your knowledge and understanding of your colleague’s strengths and weaknesses when delegating film crew roles:
• Director – The Boss – controls the team. Acts almost as the leader / creator
• Script Writer – The Secretary – documents and shares the golden nuggets of information.
• Story Board – The Artist
• Camera Assistant – The Visualiser
• Camera Assistant no 2 / clapper board operator
• Art Director / Make Up / Continuity – The Creative Edge
• Actor – The story teller
• Actor – The reactor.
The workshop will not only focus on sharing technical skills used in filmmaking but will also highlight the following:
· Raising awareness of how inspiration works and promoting creativity
· Offering tools for inspired communication
· Communicating with passion for an uninspiring directive
· Overcoming challenges to change
· Techniques to motivate themselves and others
· Help identify personal style
· Explore individual strengths and weaknesses
· Understand how delegates function as leaders and team players
