Travel Out There Tip 5 – Experience it to Believe it!

In this week’s Travel Out There tip we talk about the importance of Experiencing something to Believe it.

In this current world – aiming to pull people to your product or brand is vital. The days of push, push, push and sell, sell, sell are over. Instead the era of experiencing has begun!

Transcript from the video

Over the weekend, I had the joy of walking round a very sunny Berlin with my wife and son.  Henry was absolutely captivated by the experience of making huge bubbles with magic wands.  Look, look, look he kept reiterating – bubbles bubbles bubbles as he was spinning round with his wand.

This got me thinking that even at the age of 2 – ‘experience selling’ is one of the the best forms of marketing.  If i was to have seen these magic bubble wands with an image of a huge bubble in a toy shop or advertised on tv they would have had no interest to me. The fact that my son was transfixed and enjoyed the experience of actually playing with the toy – now that is a different matter.

In this current world – aiming to pull people to your product or brand is vital. The days of push, push, push and sell, sell, sell are over.  By giving free use, demos, of give-aways to ensure your product is experienced by your target market consciously or subconsciously creates a sense of appreciation and value for both parties.

The producer gains feedback and insights in to users behaviour and the consumer feels grateful and often obliged to purchase from the experience. A relationship is formed.

Think of free cheese giveaways in supermarkets or the opportunity to have a 1 month trial. At Riga United we are giving 2 training sessions free as a honeymoon period before players have to begin paying.

The key question comes down to how much can you afford to give before you get?  But i can assure you that it will a lot cheaper than many of the paid marketing channels out there!

If you like our tips and want to make sure you never miss out on any, then make sure to subscribe to our Youtube-channel or like our Facebook page.

6 Amazing Event Venues in Europe

Holding your conference at the hotel you are staying in is both practical and time saving. But it can also be very boring and uninspiring.

No offense to the hotels, but if you wanted to have a meeting room-conference you might as well have stayed in the office.

Changing your environment and surrounding can do wonders to your mind. And there are so many brilliant and extraordinary places out there available to host your conference or event.

We have collected the 6 most spectacular event venues from around our destinations. You will be amazed to see what is on offer!

6 Amazing Event Venues in Europe

Or, just go all in and rent the whole place and turn the evening into an office pool party!

moastery

3. Brevnov Monastery, Prague

Not only is Prague one of the world’s most beautiful cities, it is also steeped in history – and the Brevnov monastery is just an example of its beauty and historical heritage. Travel Out There Tip 4 – Partnership

Time again for our weekly Travel Out There tip. This week’s topic: Partnerships- The Good, the Great and the god damn Ugly!

Don’t forget to follow us on Facebook or subscribe to our YouTube channel to stay updated with our Weekly tips!

Transcript from the video

Partnerships are made and broken every minute of the day.  In the office, at home, over email, in churches, cross boarders and in the playground. Whatever the partnership and where ever it is made I believe the fundamental reason of why some partnerships work and others not is very simple.

Partnerships primarily breakdown because expectations are not being met.  More often, than not these expectations are not ‘mapped out’ or understood before the partnership is established.  This leads to frustration, conflict and in general an ‘ugly’ unison.

Having a clearly defined and precise service level agreement or ‘good faith agreement’ helps both parties work towards the mutual goals  of the partnership.

But when can a good partnership become great! This is when each side aims to not meet, but exceed, the established expectations. When one side puts more effort in to pleasing the other than oneself.  Understand the value proposition and amplify, whenever and wherever possible, this is when the magic begins and great partnerships blossom!

Guide to Euro Qualifiers in Tallinn

If you are already suffering from World Cup abstinence, you are probably thrilled that the UEFA Euro 2016 Qualifiers started a few days back.

On October 12 England will play against Estonia at the Lilleküla Stadium in Tallinn. It’s a perfect excuse for a get away, whether with friends or with the office, explore one of Europe’s most charming capitals and enjoy some, hopefully, great football.

We have put together the Ultimate Tallinn guide for the game. We are also able to tailor make a package, perfectly fitted just for you.

Where to grab a beer and a bite to eat?

If you didn’t manage to get tickets to the game, or just wondering where to grab a beer or a bite to eat before the game starts, head to Scotland Yard. The pub is decorated in elegant English style, has a friendly atmosphere and serves great dishes and beer. They also have one of the biggest TV screens in all of Tallinn, where they show sports. (Location: Mere puiestee 6E, Tallinn 10111, Estonia)

Where to head after the game?

If you decide to head of for a night on the town after the game we suggest Venus club – one of the best nightclubs in Tallinn. Since the game takes place on a week day, most clubs are closed. But Venus is open 7 days a week and visited by people always ready to dance.
If you wish to party in real style, we can recommend our VIP package, with VIP entrance before midnight, table reservation, drink and snacks. (Location: Vana-Viru 14, 10148 Tallinn, Estonia)

Where to stay during the Euro Qualifiers in Tallinn?

As for where to spend the night St. Olav is a great pick. It is the biggest hotel in the Old Town, and beautifully loacted in a historic building. Within three minutes walking distance to the Old Town Square. (Location: Lai 5, 10133 Tallinn, Estonia)

Hotel St Olav (image source)

If you are looking for something a bit more exclusive and private we suggest Savoy Boutique Hotel. Located in the very heart of Tallinn, where the city centre meets the medieval old town, it offers a charming art deco decor and walking distance to the major points of the city. (Location: Suur-Karja 17/19, 10148 Tallinn, Estonia)

How to get to Lilleküla (A. Le Coq) Stadium?

There is no direct line to the stadium from the city centre. The easiest way to the stadium is to take bus number 23 from the center (bus stop name: Vabaduse Väljak – freedom square).

Get off at the bus stop called Kotka, walk back a bit and then go through the small tunnel (under a railway) that leads towards the stadium. Once you get off the bus you should already see the stadium or at least hear the noise.

If this seems a bit complicated or you just want to to arrive in style and comfort we can offer our Shuttle bus service or even a VIP Limo with drinks.

Travel Out There Tip 3 – Disconnect to Reconnect.

This week’s Travel Out There Tip is about the ‘connective addiction’ we all seem to suffer from these days and how it is time that we Disconnect to Reconnect!

Don’t forget to follow us on Facebook or subscribe to our YouTube channel to stay updated with our Weekly tips!

Transcript from video

Today I would like to introduce you to Travel Out There’s latest fashion accessary – the Realitat!

The Realitat is designed to help those who have the obsessive compulsive disorder of checking one’s phone every minute of the day!

In 10 years time might ‘connective addiction’ have the same detrimental effects to relationships and society as other addictions or vices such as alcohol, gambling or drugs?

After all, many people turn to their digital world to escape from their real one!

In a society where being able to ‘connect’ is considered a human right and meeting venues, hotels and even destinations are being chosen for their WIFI capabilities rather than their inspirational or unique qualities.

Are we not forgetting the basics of making a good first impression and social etiquette.  Fully engaging with the moment, people and surroundings – reality is where it is at!

Balance is the key to manage and optimise one’s time on and off line. Why not experiment with digital detox for a few days and see what impact it has. Or even simply limiting or compartmentalising your time for online activities in your day?

One has to disconnect to reconnect!
