The one-time Wenckheim Palace, nearby the National Museum, in the Palace Quarter of Budapest is said to be the most beautiful such building of the city. Its builder was Count Frigyes Wenckheim, a well-known aristocrat of the end of the 19th century, the owner of a vast estate with the membership of the Parliament.
