Travel Out There Corporate Retreats & Off Sites are aimed at helping organisations serious about development and change as well as having some fun! Travel Out There Retreat's combine Team Building with Adizes Management Training. Our professional facilitators provide the methodology and structure for your retreat (focusing on the working objectives of the retreat) and our experience managers handle all your ground handling requirements in your specified destination (focusing on the fun and ensuring the experience exceeds expectations). Together they make the perfect team to ensure you make the most of the limited and extremely valuable time that you are all together.  Before embarking on a Travel Out There retreat it is important to have some clear and specific objectives in place.

Travel Out There will manage all your catering requirements - we can even provide you with an on site chef for the duration of the summit and even include some culinary team building activities, as stated above. We will find you the ideal retreat venue – quiet, remote, or luxurious. You can decide whether you would like a retreat within the city in a hotel or in a country house.

We will tailor a series of team building activities to act as break outs or energisers during your strategic development meet. Effectively providing the flesh and muscle around the 'Adizes skeleton' of the retreat. We recommend that the majority of the activities be held at the venue itself, but should you desire, we will manage the logistics to experience activities off site also.  Activities we recommend including in the retreat include:

  • a customised Travel Out There Experience supporting the learning objectives and theory of the retreat.
  • Workshops to acts as a wonderful ice breaker for the retreat
  • Recipe for Success culinary team building experience is a fantastic way to conclude the event.

In order to make your retreat or away day have a great value for all your participants Travel Out There strongly recommends allowing one of our TRAINERS to manage everything for you.  Travel Out There will work with your team leader to develop an agenda, set realistic goals and expectations for your Company Training.

All of the facilitators we work with are experts in group dynamics, group processes, team building, decision making and consensus building. During the retreat the facilitator manages the group discussion and ensures that  fear, lack of trust, or complacency does not creep in to the room, hence promoting an atmosphere where everyone is wanting to actively participate.
We like to think that our meeting facilitators act like referees on a sports field or conductors in a orchestra. They explain the rules, keep the structure / format goal orientated, schedule accordingly and help ensure that everyone has a chance to shine. Our sole interest is in helping you have a successful retreat.
Why choose a Travel Out There Facilitator in the first place?
It is difficult for a retreat participant to serve as the facilitator.  Participants, if correctly selected to attend the retreat, do have a stake in the outcome of the discussions.  For this reason, expecting the CEO or a manager of the company, to facilitate the retreat is often a poor choice. This interest makes it very challenging for them to also serve as a neutral group facilitator.
What happens after your retreat or away day?
In addition to helping you plan the retreat before hand, and managing the group discussion during the retreat, the Travel Out There team will capture the key points on a flip chart during the retreat and process these results in to a written report summarising the discussions, any decisions that were made, and action steps to be taken.
Please contact us should you require any further information on meeting / retreat facilitation.
