The modern Latvian restaurant ‘Kolonāde. Mūsu stāsti...’ offers an impressive postcard view on two of the most beautiful landmarks of Riga: the Freedom Monument and the Latvian National Opera.

 

The menu designed following the best traditions of modern Latvian cuisine offers ample opportunities to enjoy seasonal and classing dishes interpreted by the head chef Antons Konstantīnovs. The restaurant provides a broad selection of drinks and cocktails, as well as an excellent list of Italian wines. The diners will be taken away by the emotions offered by the restaurant’s terrace, open all year round, with Riga nightlife, music, an exquisite evening menu, candlelight and a modern combination of Latvian and classic values.

 
The materials used in the interior and the selection of colours resonate with the materials used for the construction of the Freedom Monument. Stylistically, the interior was inspired by Art Deco style, popular in the 1930’s; screens showing images of the different stages of the Freedom Monument construction and its fate are installed in a prominent place at the wall. Copies of historic images are placed all over the restaurant, strengthening the connection with the restaurant’s location and its educated and informed guests.
