The river Gauja is Latvia's most beautiful and dramatic river. Stretching 450 kilometres, it flows from the Baltic Sea all the way east along part of the Estonian/Latvian border. The river passes through the stunning Gauja National Park, which has hundreds of square miles of forest and grasslands.
During this amazing rafting expedition you will spot countless wildlife by the banks of the river, pass sandy beaches, a medieval castle as well as some remarkable cliff formations, and have the chance to truly 'get away from it all' for several hours. The Gauja National Park is home to a wonderfully diverse array of bird life, while windmills, ancient churches and decaying manor houses dot the landscape all around.
Rafting Down the Gauja includes guides, lunch, return transfers and all equipment. It is ideal for large groups.
