Experience some of the most experimental Art Nouveau styles from the period. We will not just show you the picture postcard buildings but also focus on the more unusual and thought provoking buildings from this period.

Almost everyone who visits Riga will enjoy Elizabeth and Alberta Street to see some fantastic examples of Riga's Art Nouveau However, we aim to show you some styles that you may otherwise miss. Over 600 buildings were constructed in the centre of Riga between 1900 and 1910 and for this reason we have a diverse array of styles. We aim to get you as close to understanding why Riga has so much Art Nouveau and to get into the minds of those who created these masterpieces.

Riga's eclectic style of art nouveau dominates the skylines of the city. With ornimental facades and great attention to subtle details, this period of Art Nouveau shines above the rest.

National Romantacism, however developed heavily in Riga after 1905, was an embodiemnt of a Independent Latvia before the state existed. The idea to represent the land and people of where the buildings were constructed enabled architects to produce an exclusive style. A Latvian style. Come with us and learn about this time of great ideas and national identity.
