WHAT OTHERS SAY
THE ROI OF TEAM BUILDING
Travel Out There’s unique and highly imaginative Corporate Team Building experiences include our ever-popular Photo Hunt Game. Team building enables your company to motivate your team, improve communication, make the workplace more enjoyable, and also empowers management to more easily identify and utilise the strengths of team members. It is also, of course, an enjoyable and memorable way to spend time and connect with one another!
A Travel Out There experience helps you take some steps that can help build healthy and productive relationships by encouraging you to:
Build understanding of high-quality relationships.
Make strengthening social connections a strategic priority in your organization.
Encourage coworkers to reach out and help others — and accept help when it is offered.
The world is suffering from an epidemic of loneliness. If we cannot rebuild strong, authentic social connections, we will continue to splinter apart — in the workplace and in society. Instead of coming together to take on the great challenges before us, we will retreat to our corners, angry, sick, and alone. We must take action now to build the connections that are the foundation of strong companies and strong communities — and that ensure greater health and well-being for all of us.
“Creativity takes courage" - Henri Matisse
IBM conducted a major study and asked 1500 CEO’s around the world.
Question: What was the single most important quality need to possess to be a successful leader going forward?
The answer - CREATIVITY.
Creativity and imagination is becoming crucial skills for making it in the business world today. We are seeing less and less of repetitive work and jobs were you simply wait around for instructions. If you want to make it in on today’s competitive job market, and even more in the future, you have to be able to take initiatives and think creatively.
That is why Travel Out There are always putting focus on creativity in our Off-Sites and Retreats. We even have a whole workshop solely focusing on creativity, where we aim to re-ignite your creative spark as well as create stronger and more personal relationships between you and your team. Help Combat Loneliness in the Workplace
Loneliness is a growing health epidemic. We live in the most technologically connected age in the history of civilization, yet rates of loneliness have doubled since the 1980s. Today, over 40% of adults in America report feeling lonely, and research suggests that the real number may well be higher.
Loneliness and weak social connections are associated with a reduction in lifespan similar to that caused by smoking 15 cigarettes a day and even greater than that associated with obesity. At work, loneliness reduces task performance, limits creativity, and impairs other aspects of executive function such as reasoning and decision making. For our health and our work, it is imperative that we address the loneliness epidemic quickly.
Researchers for Gallup found that having strong social connections at work makes employees more likely to be engaged with their jobs and produce higher-quality work, and less likely to fall sick or be injured. Without strong social connections, these gains become losses.
